I painted the same painting again but with some changes. I wanted to be a little ‘looser’ though I don’t think I was successful at that with this painting. Maybe a little succesful. I adjusted the color a bit and made the grass greener. I naturally shy away from bright colors, so I had to force myself to brighten up the grass. I prefer my paintings to be peaceful and usually that means more of a tonal painting. I thought by using the palette knife to apply paint the painting would have a looser look. I think the palette knife did help me achieve a bit of looseness, but I’m still experimenting with the palette knife. Oh, and I gave the cows two tone hides. I need to fix the white on the cow on the right, that one looks more like a large skunk right now.
