Summer Barn without trees

Those trees were buggin me. What do you all think about this painting without the green trees? In the previous post I have the original painting with the trees, I’ve just photoshopped out the trees. I kinda like the “no trees” version. I guess I’m thinking the trees don’t add anything, and in fact, without the trees the foreground gets more attention. I’m about to wipe off those trees . . . . . Thoughts?

  1. Hi Joan, Now that I see the trees missing, I think this one is better. More focused on the barn. I notice the grasses more too. Like I just want to lay down and enjoy the sun!

  2. Interesting! Without the tress the space seems to feel more vast…it opens up behind the barn.
Love the purple-ish grasses up front.
