Here is a better photo of my son on his 14th birthday. It’s still wet so there is quite a glare, but at least we had a sunny day today so I was able to get a better representation of the painting.
I heard back from the printer and he wants $40.25 to make 25 Thank you notecards out of this image. That’s too much for little thank you notes. So, I might just print them out on my computer at home, or my son will send plain old thank you notes.
What a sweet expression you captured on his face! And the way you painted the light radiating from the candles is just great!
Dear Karen, thank you for your compliments! I had never painted candlelight before so I had no idea what I was doing, I’m glad it looks okay.
Joan
Beautiful portrait Joan! I too love the glowy candles. And the rosy glow on your son’s face too. He will treasure this portrait forever!!
Isn’t it amazing how changing your position or the time of day can affect how the poto looks? The color on this one is sooooo totally different than the one posted yesterday.
Wish I could get it nailed down properly to get the color right (or true) AND avoid the glare!!
If it comes out okay on your home printer I’m sure your sone will appreciate it!!
