Recently I decided I wanted my art to expand beyond my canvases. As part of my studio make-over project I decided to make my art notebooks pretty. I’ve been writing in these sketch books for about 5 years now, they are really my art journals. They are full of ideas, successes and failures.
I bought some 12″x12″ scrapbooking paper from the art supply store and cut it to fit the sketchbooks. I cut smaller pieces and then even smaller white strips where I could label the journals. I used Spray Mount adhesive to put it all together.
You are on a creativity/organizational roll! Pretty impressive!
Hi Pam, this creativity /organizational roll I’m on is a lot of fun, no pressure! Though my paints are calling to me and I have lots of ideas for paintings. My week of studio organization is over.

I’m liking these! My sketchbooks look so crappy! lol–This is cheerful.
Thank you all for your enthusiasm about these little sketchbooks! Celeste your post made me laugh. Linda, I’m so glad I’m an inspiration to someone, that is such a HUGE compliment!
