The art show at my church last weekend was a successful show and I think all the artists that participated sold at least 2 or 3 items. Since it’s a small show attended mostly by our parishioners, it’s a safe place for an artist to put there work “out there” for the first time. We had a couple of photographers who exhibited for the first time and they both sold some pieces. This was especially gratifying since I co-chaired the art show this year.
Above is a photograph of my display for the door paintings I did of the church and chapel door. I sold three of these little paintings for $150 each. I also sold 25 to 30 packages of my notecards at $12 each and, here is the best news, in addition to those three “door paintings”, I sold 7 other paintings. Most of them were small, 6″x8″, with the largest being 8″x10″. But I am thrilled nonetheless. Plus, it’s good to clear some of those paintings out of my art closet! And I’m happy that they each found a new home.
Way to go Joan! I am so excited you did so well! And that the other artists sold too. That is so encouraging and I know exciting for you since you co-chaired the show! Great job!
Congratulations on all of your sales!
