Well you would think I’ve disappeared, I haven’t posted in so long. It’s been a busy month and I haven’t gotten much painting done, except for TWO paintings which I ended up wiping off.
I also got a little tired of posting because posting was always about me. I was tired of talking about myself. In my bible study class we’ve been studying the psalms and instead of talking about myself, I’ve been spending time reading the Psalms, espeically the Psalms of praise. Here is a favorite:
Psalm 100 A Psalm of praise
1 Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands,
2 Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing.
3 Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
5 For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.
Now I will have to get back to painting because March 1st I have a show at our church. Nothing like a deadline to make me get things done. I have a couple of paintings in progress that I would like to get finished in time for the show.
