Kristina

This is Kristina done in oil on a 12″ x 12″ panel painted from life: a three hour session with breaks for the model every 20 minutes. If you’re interested in purchasing this painting it is $200 unframed. Every time I paint a figure I realize how much I absolutely love painting people. Well, I just love to paint and I haven’t been doing much of that at all lately.

After this I’m going to make a concentrated effort to paint more people from life. I will find them somewhere! It would be good to paint a figure from life twice a week instead of once a week, which is a great goal but might not be realistic until after the holidays.

  1. Joan! Wow! Really lovely. This one is best viewed BIG, must click to see all the wonderful planes of color. Once again, you’ve captured this image the way a photo can’t– Love that little triangle of light under her eye and the super saturated red/oranges!! Wonderful!!
