Planning ahead

I’m working on a commissioned painting of a teddy bear today. Well, actually I’m at the computer procrastinating. I’m also thinking about what show opportunities I have coming up. I have the application ready to mail to St. Francis Episcopal Day School for a large show they have every February. I really need to spend some time and investigate show opportunities around town. There are a couple of large country clubs, whom I contacted last year, but their Holiday Markets were full of vendors already. They asked if I wanted to get on the waiting list for this year but I never did that. Should have done that. I’ll call them now and get on the waiting list for next year.

As of now I have three shows for 2009, which is great. (I’m including one that was scheduled for October but has been postponed to 2009 due to Hurricane Ike.) It would be fun to try one of the big Holiday Markets somewhere though. Well, it’s fun to go to those markets, might be different having to sit at a booth or table for hours on end, but I won’t know until I try. Looks like I have a couple of phone calls to make.
