For “Impressionist Sky” we were back again (!) at the beautiful pond near Bellville, Texas that I have named the “Morning Pond” only because we tend to go there first thing in the morning. The sun is behind us in the mornings so that’s helpful.
The sky this morning looked like an impressionist painting and was amazing so I focused on the sky and painted the distant trees up on the hill. Ha, in fact, you can’t even see the pond in this painting. Funny, I just noticed that, this location is called “Morning Pond” in my mind whether there is a pond in the painting or not.
The clouds were something! They were racing across the sky, changing so quickly. It’s a miracle to watch. The more I go out and paint, the more I see to paint and the more I want to be out there!
