This is what my easel looked like a couple of days ago. I’ve been painting the chapel doors at our church for an upcoming show. I have pretty little gold frames on order from the framer and as soon as the paintings are dry they’ll be framed. I will sell them framed for $150 each

Sold! I finally have something to post! I don’t know where this month has gone. Actually I do know, I’ve been busy with various volunteer activities, so many in fact that I’ve had to sit down and figure out which ones I need to cut out for now. But the good news is that I

A few weeks ago I entered five paintings in the National Society of Artists’ 26th Annual National Juried show and three were accepted. I drove my three accepted paintings an hour to deliver them to the show in a town outside of Houston. I knew from the prospectus when the judging for awards would take

I love going to the printer to pick up an order, mainly because he shrink wraps everything. Somehow that makes what I’ve done and had printed so much better! I ordered 200 notecards of 5 different designs, that’s 1000 notecards! That was the easy part, now I need to package them all up with envelopes

This is a painting of my favorite model. She came over one day and I painted a couple of quick studies of her wearing costumes. When it was time to go she put her own clothes back on and sat down on the studio floor to tie her shoes. I thought she looked so cute

I painted this on Galveston Island over the Memorial Day weekend and hung it in the show I’m having in downtown Houston at the Christ Church Cathedral Cloister Gallery. (That’s a mouthful!) I’ve sold five paintings so far at this show and I’m thrilled! The gallery surrounds a dining area where 400 people eat lunch
