Where did the last few days go? I painted a small ‘abstracted’ barn a few days ago, but I don’t like the colors so I’m not posting it. My high school junior daughter is going to the prom so that has been a fun distraction from painting (if I have to be distracted, at least it was for something fun), we spent 4 hours at the Galleria on Saturday and found a dress, shoes, earrings and a necklace, and had a nice lunch.I’m painting a table for the shop. I’ve always loved old painted furniture, so I found a table, sanded it (that was fun for about 4 minutes) and next I’ll paint it. If it’s successful, I’ll post a photo of it. I can see the finished table in my imagination, we’ll see how it really turns out.Last week the painting above, House Across a Field, was accepted into the Houston Arts Alliance Exhibition at City Hall. It’s 24″x30″. Yay, I’m very happy about this painting being accepted.
