My son studying in-progress

Last night I stayed up til 11:00 p.m. working on this painting! I set my easel up next to our dining room, which is where my son studies in the evenings. With all that red the painting gets lost but you can see it in the lower right hand corner on my easel. It’s almost finished, I’ll work on it some more today. It’s 9″x12″ oil on linen canvas. The last interior scene I did was 8″x10″ and I tried to push this one just a little bigger. Next time maybe 11″x14″.

Meanwhile, the studio work continues. Apparently the painters only work half days so painting has been taking longer than anticipated. 🙂 But we’ve made lots and lots of progress so I’m happy.

  1. It’s been really neat watching the progress of your studio remodel. And, I like how you’ve got the easel set up so we can see what you’re painting. Really nice work. Love the sketch from the other day, too!

  2. I know I’M jealous…. don’t know about everyone else… but WOW what a place you have.

I couldn’t really see the painting you did, but hopefully when you finish it you’ll repost!!
