Here is Santa again, this time on a 16″ x 20″ linen canvas in oil. The words “ho ho ho” are painted onto the canvas in oil too, I just traced the letters onto the canvas and filled them in with paint. I intended to paint Santa Claus for our Christmas card this year, that’s why the “ho ho ho” greeting is on the painting.
Well, this is a first, to have our Christmas card done so early. I guess it’s not really done, but taking it to the printer will be the easy part. They’ll be done by next week and I can address the envelopes over the Thanksgiving holidays. Don’t be too impressed though, last year we were taking photos of our kids for our Christmas card on about December 10th!
Wow, Joan! Another awesome portrait. You are GOOD!!! Gotta love Santa’s healthy glow and subtle gold rimmed glasses. REALLY NICE!!!
Hi Diane,
Thank you so much!!
Joan
This is FABULOUS! I hope your friends and family will think to frame it! Very Inspiring!
Hi Laurel, thanks for checking on my blog! And thank you for your compliments. I’ll frame it and hang it for the month of December, I have an empty 16″x20″ frame that would be perfect.
Santa is invited to a holiday luncheon I’m having for some friends at my home in December, he’ll be the hit of the party. He’s on the invitation too.
Joan
