Hurricane Ike is currently on a path that will come very close to Houston. I’m shopping for nonperishable groceries (yummy) and plywood to board up our windows instead of painting.
I did go to the workshop this morning after a trip to the grocery store (along with hundreds of others!) and Gay did a landscape demo which was probably worth just about the entire fee I paid for the workshop. We ended our session at noon since Ike was on it’s way and there was a lot to be done, and Gay needed to get started on her journey back to Oklahoma ahead of evacuee traffic.
There’s a good chance once Ike makes landfall we won’t have any power, so if you don’t see any posts from me for a while you’ll know why.
Meanwhile, we continue to pray for the best and prepare for the worst.
Dearest Joan! May you and your family be safe, my thoughts and prayers are with you!! Hang in there!!
Dear Diane, thank you. We’ll be fine and I’m sure it’ll be an interesting weekend. Thank you for your prayers!
Joan
